Nicole Naylor

Nicole (Nico) Naylor graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Biology, and minors in Chemistry and Art Studio. They have valuable experience from their times in laboratories, honing analytical skills and developing expertise in presenting and interpreting scientific literature. Nico has delved into environmental management at UC Davis, with a focus on environmental data science and conservation management. Through internships with organizations like the Department of Conservation (DOC), the Department of Fire and Forestry Protection (CAL FIRE), and Power in Nature, Nico has improved on skills related to agricultural and land conservation, policy analysis, and project management. Involved in the EPM Social Committee as the Event Planner and the One Health Symposium Planning Committee, Nico’s aspirations still intertwine with the interdisciplinary through creative event planning, science communication, and media outreach. They seek to continue this work in a career aligned with conservation management and planning after graduation.
