Under the close supervision of the Senior Water Resource Control Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for developing procedures, documents, databases and spreadsheets for entering, maintaining and extracting Public Water System (PWS) inventory and compliance tracking information from the Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) database system. The incumbent will develop reports for various stakeholders, including the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The position involves extensive work using computer database programs and developing queries and special reports using various database and spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, Snowflake, and PowerBI. Incumbent requires knowledge of public water system infrastructure (e.g., drinking water sources, treatment plants and processes, and storage systems), drinking water regulations and compliance determinations as well as knowledge of database structures and functions.
