U.S. Geological Survey 2025 Summer Internship

Please forward this email along with attached flyer to students that might be interested in a summer internship at the USGS St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center, in St. Petersburg Florida. USGS welcome students from diverse majors, colleges, backgrounds, and life experiences. Our goal is to provide a safe and inclusive environment for our program participants.

 

At this time, we do not know when the announcement will post on USAJobs. Please check our internship opportunity website sometime mid-January 2025 for updates on when the internship opportunity will open.  I will also send a follow up email to this once I know more about the internships for summer 2025.

 

When the job posts on USAJobs.gov, please inform your students that the vacancy will close after 50 applications are received; we highly suggest that interested candidates review the opportunities in advance, create a USAJobs.gov profile, and be ready to apply on the day that it opens! A link to the USAJobs.gov announcement with more details on the internship and application requirements will be posted on our Center's internship opportunity website once the vacancy has been created. 

 

As part of the application process, our Center's internship website will list research project descriptions for which students will have the opportunity to indicate their preference on the USAJobs.gov application. There may be additional opportunities beyond what is listed on our website.
