Advance your career, earn a stipend, and see what it's like to work in federal government! The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)’s Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG) is a critical part of USDOT’s efforts to increase diverse representation in its workforce.
Undergraduate, graduate, and law school interns are placed in a variety of roles and office locations within the USDOT based on major, educational level, skills, and geographical preference. First-generation college students, students of color, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities, and other people traditionally under-represented in federal careers are strongly encouraged to apply.
As a career-development nonprofit organization, The Washington Center administers this program on behalf of and in close coordination with the U.S. Department of Transportation, a federal agency. Read more on our website: twc.edu/STIPDG
The program runs for 10 weeks, from June 3-August 9, 2024. This is a competitive program and not all applicants are guaranteed acceptance. 4-year college, community college, law school, and graduate students in all majors/academic areas may apply.
