Under the general direction of the Landscape Resilience Supervisor, the incumbent will coordinate and provide strategic, technical, facilitation, and project management leadership to the Tahoe-Central Sierra Initiative (TCSI). The incumbent is responsible for ensuring alignment with State, federal, and regional mandates. The TCSI is a 2.4 million-acre landscape-scale effort to restore resilience to forested watersheds and communities, increase the pace and scale of forest restoration, build shared stewardship, support local economies, and increase the use of restoration wood byproducts. It is multiagency and multijurisdictional, comprised of the California Tahoe Conservancy, Sierra Nevada Conservancy, U.S.D.A. Forest Service, The Nature Conservancy, National Forest Foundation, USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station, and California Forestry Association. This position serves as an agency expert in forest management and ecology.
