JOB SUMMARY
Assists the Experiential Learning Manager (ELM) and the rest of the Office of Sustainability with the planning and implementation of services and activities for sustainability efforts. The major focus of this role is coordinating the Presidential Sustainability Internship Program Also assists the ELM in planning and implementing other experiential learning initiatives and serves as staffing support for the USC Sustainability Hub. Supports the integration of sustainability as a core value of the university's strategic planning and the implementation of other initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Reports to the Office of Sustainability Experiential Learning Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinates the Presidential Sustainability Internship Program, including the annual identification of needs for interns among various operational staff and faculty partners, recruitment, hiring, scheduling, onboarding, professional development and cohort programming.
- Assists the administration and planning of sustainability activities. Coordinates the scheduling of program events and maintains accurate event records.
- Assists the writing and editing of communication materials (e.g., fact sheets, promotional materials, official correspondence) to promote sustainability initiatives.
- Provides collection, analysis, and presentation of data related to key performance metrics
- Prepares reports to document sustainability program performance and researches improvement plans.

- Experience planning and organizing sustainability services and events.
- Experience managing student workers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate for the position must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
- 1 year working experience in the field.
- Valid California license.
- Experience planning and organizing events.
- Familiarity with sustainability efforts (e.g., energy and waste management, resource conservation, recycling).
- Demonstrated organization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
