Job Description
The undergraduate researcher will assist in the final creation of the methane bubble counter being developed by TERC researchers. They will be involved in the hardware, software and Arduino programming of the instrument. Ultimately, they will deploy the sensor in Uvas Reservoir this spring and be involved in processing of the data. In addition, these data will be used by the undergraduate researcher to identify bubbles released from the sediments and to estimate gas fluxes from those bubbles. They will also write a report of their findings that will be included as sections of a larger project report to the Valley Water Agency. The undergraduate research assistant will also help with fieldwork and lab work when needed and when possible.
