Job Description
The Contra Costa County Public Works Department is seeking a Senior Watershed Management Planning Specialist to lead crucial stormwater pollution projects and collaborate with agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will manage urban stormwater pollution projects, supervise a skilled team, and work with local, state, and federal agencies. Your expertise will directly contribute to the sustainability of our communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- We are looking for candidates with at least (4) four years of full-time professional experience in land use planning, environmental compliance, or closely related work.
- You must also hold a bachelors degree in urban/regional planning, environmental studies/science, business, geography, engineering, or a closely related field.
- Along with a valid California Motor Vehicle Operators License (or out-of-state equivalent).
- Other: A Masters degree in a relevant field can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Ideal Candidates:
You will stand out if you have a solid understanding of Bay Area stormwater regulations, experience managing grants, and proficiency with database or GIS systems.
