Job Description
- Lead, manage, organize, and direct multi-disciplinary teams for the purpose of preparing reports (e.g., NEPA/CEQA documents, wetland delineation reports, biological assessments, noise analysis, environmental site assessments, etc.) and environmental permit applications in support of projects for various industries and markets
- Provide oversight, review, and interpretation of data as part of new or ongoing investigations, mitigation, or monitoring projects
- Lead and organize team for project field efforts (wildlife, botanical, water, etc.)
- Communicate scientific and technical information to the project team
- Prepare and review environmental reports and related materials
- Assist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance
- Develop lasting professional relationships with current clients through quality client support
- Engage new clients through professional networking, marketing, and exceptional customer service and support
- Prepare proposals, scopes of services, schedules, and budgets
- Mentor junior staff
What We Expect From You
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, environmental planning, environmental policy, biology, wildlife management, range management, natural resources management, or related field
- 15+ years of related experience (advanced degree may count toward experience)
- Thorough understanding of and experience with relevant Federal, State, and Local regulations (e.g., NEPA/CEQA; Endangered Species Act [ESA]; Clean Water Act [CWA]; Clean Air Act [CAA]; National Historic Preservation Act [NHPA]; Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act [CERCLA]; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act [RCRA]) as they relate to environmental review and approval/permitting of projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective time-management, written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and in team situations, as well as establish strong relationships with other teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and applicable industry-related software packages (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps)
- Must be willing to travel occasionally with overnight stays
- Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
