Job Description
Join an award-winning team in the fight against climate change and help the state achieve its climate resilience goals. Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) in the Recreation and Environmental Studies Section of the Water Management Branch, Division of Regional Assistance, Southern Region Office, and as a DWR Regional Climate Change Specialist (RCCS), your responsibilities will include analyzing and evaluating climate change impacts on the State’s water sector, analyzing climate change vulnerabilities, developing adaptation strategies, managing climate data, and coordinating with other DWR programs. You will design and implement climate change adaptation and provide presentations, outreach, education, and technical assistance on climate change and water resources.
DWR's Southern Region Office is dedicated to fostering a positive influence on Southern California's climate change adaptation. As an RCCS, you will join a community of committed professionals collaborating to support programs and partners throughout the region.
