The Marine Region Data Management Project is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist (Fisheries Applications Specialist) to support modernization of marine fisheries data collection.

 
Under direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist Supervisor for the Data Management Project, the incumbent will coordinate and execute a variety of complex and high-level duties related to commercial fisheries data collection and administration. The work supports a pilot project developing electronic reporting applications aided by electronic monitoring integration to replace legacy paper log methods of data collection; and plans broader implementation of resulting applications at conclusion of the pilot. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the policy changes required for implementing solutions at scale.
