Rural Brownfields Specialist

he Sierra Institute for Community and Environment is seeking a collaborative professional to fill the full-time position of Rural Brownfields Specialist. The selected individual will assist in unlocking the reuse potential of rural contaminated sites and play a key role in advancing the organization's work in rural brownfields remediation and redevelopment. This position involves working closely with Sierra Institute staff, agencies, and community members to inventory, assess, and remediate brownfields sites. The Rural Brownfields Specialist must be capable of balancing various tasks, from technical analysis to community involvement, and will contribute to creating opportunities for environmentally conscious business development in rural communities throughout the Sierra.
