Under general direction of the Strategic Growth Council’s Manager II (AHSC Senior Program Manager), the Analyst III (Resilient Community Senior Planner) works with state partners, program applicants, and other collaborators and partners to develop grant, planning, and technical assistance programs that advance affordable housing, sustainable transportation, climate resilience, and community development objectives. The incumbent must commit to serving California’s diverse communities and implementing state-funded investments and initiatives that achieve affordable housing developments, greenhouse gas reductions, reduced vehicle miles traveled, and results in healthier lifestyles and protects current and future generations from the threat of climate change. The Analyst III will support the development of policy, quantification benefits, reporting, and other implementation guidance and resources. The incumbent will apply analytical and planning methods to help identify, study, and address greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, equity, climate resilience, and other relevant State goals and priorities. The position will respond to inquiries, communicate the benefits of climate investments, and work collaboratively with internal and external entities, Tribal Nations, tribal communities, priority populations, community-based organizations, etc. The Analyst III must be able to travel and participate in high-profile and sensitive meetings with the Strategic Growth Council members, legislative staff, and local governments and represent LCI/SGC at forums and workshops, lead site visits and meetings.
