Job Description

The California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) is hiring a Research Data Specialist I to help advance California’s goal to conserve 30% of its lands and coastal waters by 2030 (the “30x30” initiative) and broader strategic priorities related to enhancing biodiversity in California. The Research Data Specialist will be responsible for data analysis and research to help track and identify conservation opportunities, and for supporting data visualization and web-based spatial applications. The Research Data Specialist will also lead maintenance and development of web systems for 30x30. The Research Data Specialist will provide additional support and capacity for implementation of broader CNRA priorities related to biodiversity conservation data including participation in cross-Agency workgroups and collaboratives.
