Public Affairs Intern

The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Midpen) seeks a Public Affairs Intern to support community outreach and engagement efforts. Key responsibilities include representing Midpen at community events and workshops, developing content for social media and digital communications, collaborating with community partner organizations, assisting in the planning and execution of public events, and assisting with general communications tasks as assigned. This internship provides training in a broad range of public affairs strategies and activities. The position reports to the Public Affairs Specialist leading community outreach and engagement, with additional assignments from other communications project and program leads. The expected start date for this position is January 2027.
