Job Description
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Five years of experience implementing statewide initiatives, managing complex multi-partner programs, and reporting results in a fast-paced environment with diverse project teams and on multiple and simultaneous complex assignments, some of which may be unfamiliar or ambiguous where no clear guidelines exist.
- Advanced knowledge of agricultural health and safety issues, state safety and labor law regulations, and principles of community engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, in English and Spanish, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences and communicating findings to external advisors and center leadership.
- Advanced project management and organizational skills to track deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met with a high degree of accuracy and adherence to professional standards while maintaining positive interactions with project partners and funders. Thorough knowledge of program evaluation and needs assessment techniques
- Ability to use discretion, maintain confidentiality, and advance program objectives on politically sensitive topics.
- Experience navigating UC Davis policies and procedures to remain in compliance while advancing project objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Worker Occupational Safety and Health (WOSH) Specialist Certificate
- Track record of convening diverse groups of external partners to build consensus, implement project activities, and achieve shared goals.
- Track record of working with external partners to develop farmworker-facing information in English, Spanish, and Indigenous languages.
- Advanced knowledge of farmworker-serving organizations in California, agricultural employer associations, and California state agencies.
