Job Description
As a Program and Policy Analyst, you will perform the following duties:
- Develop policy documents and assure close cooperation and coordination on management priorities within Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary (GFNMS), Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary (CBNMS) and with key external partners. Use analytical and written skills in the development, coordination, implementation of, and reporting on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and site restoration policies.
- Manage and participate in restoration strategies and/or activities for a sanctuary site to conserve, protect, enhance, restore, investigate, and manage sanctuary resources. Develop, coordinate, and implement restoration initiatives and budgets that consider adaptation and mitigation strategies (i.e., policies, regulations, management plans, restoration plans, and program planning).
- Monitor administrative procedures and program research efforts, including fieldwork, associated data management or analysis of sanctuary resources and restoration, and written reports.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key constituents on habitat and species restoration priorities. Communicate results of program activities/findings to a variety of audiences through oral presentations and written outreach materials.
