Job Description

The Governor’s Office of Planning & Research (OPR) seeks to fill a Limited Term/Fulltime Staff Services Manager II (Suporvisory) position in the Planning and Research Branch. 

Under the general direction of the Senior Advisor for Community and Economic Resilience, the Planning and Research Officer acts as an independent, highly skilled expert and key member of the Research and Innovation team. The planning and Research Officer will be involved in and leading various types of projects, initiatives, and activities, including managing contracts and projects, leading the coordination of interagency efforts, conducting complex research, and leading special projects. In collaboration with high-level policy staff, academics, community-based organizations, priority populations, and other stakeholders, the incumbent will lead innovative projects that require interdisciplinary approaches to solve emerging urban and environmental issues. These projects and initiatives may relate to transportation planning, workforce and economic development, labor standards, energy transition, downtown activation, climate resilience, and smart cities. Equity, inclusivity, and innovation will be embedded in these initiatives and projects.
