Three Oak Outdoor Science School is a residential science camp where learning is fun and hands on! Located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California, we work primarily with 5th and 6th grade students through the school year. Our program focuses on the natural science curriculum set by the California Board of Education in conjunction with the Next Generation Science Standards taught on the trails; as well as a great emphasis on Character Education in our cabin programs. The Outdoor & Environmental Educator performs as a teacher in the cabins and outdoors on trails, acting as both a cabin leader AND as a Naturalists. On the trails, our Educators play games, do experiments and use inquiry-based learning to challenge students to learn about the natural world and develop critical thinking skills. In the cabins, our Educators build confidence and pride through leadership and teambuilding activities. Three Oaks operates during the school season - September to June – working only weekdays; no weekends or holidays. Candidates must enjoy working with children and adventuring in the great outdoors as our program operates in all weather conditions.
