MARINE ECOLOGY ASSISTANT SPECIALIST

Applications are invited for up to two Assistant Specialist positions to participate in marine ecological research conducted as part of the Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Ocean project (PISCO) and the California Collaborative Fisheries Research Project (CCFRP) at UCSB. The research broadly involves understanding anthropogenic and climate effects on nearshore marine ecosystems. Projects include (but are not limited to): 1) assessment of Marine Protected Areas on nearshore fish and invertebrates, 2) effects of climate change on nearshore marine systems, 3) spatial ecology and behavior of temperate and tropical fish species, and 4) evaluation of monitoring methods for nearshore marine ecosystems.
