Legislative Manager

California Energy Commission has an exciting job opportunity for a Legislative Manager in our Office of Governmental and International Affairs!Link to official job posting: https://lnkd.in/gjFzazdySalary Range: $6,963.00 - $8,650.00 per month, full benefits, PTO, and state pension plan!
This position requires an average of 2 days per week of in-person attendance at 715 P street Sacramento, and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division.

1. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and direct staff in a time-sensitive, high pressure, workload-driven environment.
2. Experience with the legislative process, including bill tracking and bill analysis.
3. Experience with state administration and employment policies
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate publicly and directly to decision makers.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
7. Proven ability to effectively edit complex written work.
8. Strong computer skills.
9. A willingness and desire to learn new skills and methods.
