Internship

An effective planner has expertise of not only the technical subjects but also possess “people skills” – the human consideration in the conservation planning process. That entails understanding different clients’ needs and decision-making, good communication skills, and how to develop rapport with individual clients as well with the local community.  Recognizing the importance of later, CA-NRCS developed and put on a series of the “Art of Conservation of Planning” training in 2015. While much of the principles of the curriculum remains the same, an update is needed for the current CA-NRCS work environment. Given the number of new employees, this training is even more critical to deliver conservation on the ground.
