We are delighted to announce the second year of our successful internship program. Join Locus Environmental this summer to build your resume with hands-on experience in environmental consulting. This opening is for full-time interns from May through August 2026. The candidates will work on a variety of projects pending client demand and may include Phase I and II environmental site assessments, site reconnaissance, environmental sampling (indoor air, soil gas, groundwater), waste management, environmental data processing and evaluation, oversight of third-party maintenance activities at remediation systems, and reporting. The internship program is expected to include two interns to work collaboratively to maintain progress on client projects during competing summer demands of more senior staff. The candidates will be supportive team members contributing to our environmental services. The candidates will work out of the office in Santa Clara, CA,.

Key Responsibilities

• Implements work plans for environmental assessment and sampling
• Implements health and safety plans
• Processes and evaluates environmental data
• Coordinates waste profiling and disposal
• Conducts quality assurance and quality control of data
• May communicate with public during field work
• Works well with others

Requirements

Entering Senior by Fall 2026 or Recent Graduate for BS in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other Sciences

or

Degree seeking or Recent Graduate for MS in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other Sciences

Also:

• US work authorization is required
• Self-starter with good communication and writing skills
• Ability to work thoughtfully, independently, and on a team

Preference will be given to engineering students

Term:
Full-time seasonal intern (40 hrs/wk) from May/June through August/September 2026. Exact duration pending candidate availability.

Experience:
