Hydrologic Technician - USGS California Water Science Center

Stewards Individual Placements (Stewards) provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants work with Federal agencies, Tribal governments, and nonprofits building institutional capacity, developing community relationships, and supporting ecosystem health. Stewards in partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey, California Water Science Center are seeking an intern who will work on water availability studies in the Salton Sea watershed. There are four projects in the study area with a diverse range of tasks that could include field work and groundwater sampling, data management and analysis, GIS and data visualization, support for numeric modeling and computer programming, and communication and writing, depending on the individual’s interests.
