Job Description

Want to lead a growing team of modelers and experts in charting our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Washington State? This position supervises the GHG Inventory Unit and acts as the state’s lead expert in GHG emission inventories. You will:

  • Lead the overall design, planning, and implementation of the GHG Inventory Unit, and statewide GHG emissions estimates;
  • Estimate and track greenhouse gas pollutant emissions, use advancing science to improve models, and identify co-benefits of GHG emissions reductions;
  • Coordinate with other state agencies and programs, such as State Efficiency and Environmental Performance (SEEP), and the Department of Commerce, to promote GHG emission reductions across the state; and,
  • Supervise a staff of up to six fellow scientists and specialists.
