Job Description and Duties

This position is located in Sacramento, CA, and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. Specific telework schedules may be discussed further during the interview process.

DUTIES:  Under the general direction of the Senior Environmental Planner (SEP), the incumbent will function as an Associate Environmental Planner (AEP) within the Division of Land Resource Protection (DLRP). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the most complex or difficult grants in the Division’s Transformative Climate Communities Program (TCC) are implemented in accordance with State environmental, social, and economic planning objectives, as well as program design, program implementation and monitoring, environmental policy research, and strategic planning for DLRP.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet Minimum Qualifications, the applicant will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Applicants who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.

EDUCATION INFORMATION:If you are using education to meet the minimum qualifications for this classification, please provide your unofficial transcripts. Applicants who completed their education outside of the United States (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must provide evaluated transcripts. Working Conditions

 

This position is located in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must reside in California and be able to satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. The hybrid telework schedule will allow for up to three days of remote work per week depending on department needs.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
