Job Description

Health Education and Promotion uses a health equity lens to foster environments, institutional practices and a campus culture that promote student well-being and academic success.

 

Position Duties 

The Graduate Student Well-Being Coordinator’s responsibility is to plan, implement, and evaluate initiatives that improve graduate student well-being.

 

The Graduate Student Well-Being Coordinator will: 

  • Manage the Thriving in Graduate School program
  • Write weekly newsletters focused on health and well-being topics relevant to a diverse array of graduate students
  • Build relationships with campus and community stakeholders through relevant campus organizations, coalitions, and workgroups 
  • Collect and analyze data to assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation; this will include literature reviews, community assessments, surveys, and focus groups 
  • Schedule, promote and facilitate graduate student gatherings that appeal to diverse groups
  • Complete quarterly and annual reports 

Required skills include:

  • Strong research abilities
  • Strong project management skills  
  • Strong organization skills, with attention to detail  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to collaborate on projects
  • Interest in improving graduate student health and well-being

Preferred  

  • Experience in well-being initiatives 
  • Graphic design skills 
  • Students who have demonstrated experience in campus involvement 
  • Public speaking experience 
  • Group facilitation skills
