Interns apply the analytical techniques learned in their graduate programs to a practical issue facing the State of California. 

Typical Qualifications

 

  • Have completed the first year of a two-year graduate program that includes curriculum that is both quantitative and policy based.

  • Are interested in becoming a full-time fiscal and policy analyst at the LAO after graduation.

 

Supplemental Information

 

Program length: 12 weeks, full-time

Location: In-person in Sacramento, California. In-office work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Telecommuting offered most Mondays and Fridays, workload permitting
