Field Guide

Job Description: Sacramento Splash is hiring multiple seasonal guides to work roughly 25 hrs/week for our vernal pool programs from December 6th - April 26th (potential for extension). Field Guides will collectively help lead three-hour field trips for groups of 10-12 fourth and fifth grade students, facilitating the students’ discoveries in the vernal pool grassland. The guides will also lead indoor activities at the Splash Center, such as helping students identify aquatic invertebrates at the microscope station, demonstrating the watershed/stormwater quality model, and sharing facts about the many live animals in our Critterville room. This is a great opportunity for college students or fresh graduates who are passionate about nature and interested in pursuing a career in ecology, biology, hydrology, education - or all of the above!
