Department of Water Resources, Division of Regional Assistance, Water Use Efficiency Branch, Urban Unit is recruiting for key technical position to work in its Urban Unit. The Environmental Scientist (ES) will provide scientific and technical assistance in urban landscape water use efficiency and in implementing sustainable landscape practices. The ES will work with the lead Senior Environmental Scientist (Spec) for the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO) updates, studies, outreach, agency coordination, and other specific projects, program functions, or area of expertise pertaining to urban water use efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about making water conservation a California way of life. The qualified ES should have good social skills, exercise an understanding of urban landscape water use efficiency and sustainable landscapes.
