The reporting location for this position is the Bay Area District Office, 845 Casa Grande Road, Petaluma, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor).
This position provides exciting and unique opportunities for natural resource management in a large and complex district. The parks in the Bay Area District encompass more than 30,000 acres of highly varied habitat across multiple counties in the San Francisco Bay Area. The primary duties of this position are implementation of natural resource projects and maintenance including invasive species control, vegetation management, habitat restoration, fire management, mapping, monitoring, and protection of natural resources. This position works in the field on a regular basis and helps to oversee a variety of field crews conducting vegetation management and natural resource activities in the parks, and interfaces with partners and the public. The ideal candidate can both work independently and work well as part of a team.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
