Job Description and Duties
Do you like travel and diversity in your work assignments? If you are interested in working on projects from the Central and South Coasts to the Colorado Desert Region of Southern California, this may be the perfect position for you! This position is for an Environmental Scientist primarily working with Water Use Efficiency programs in the Water Conservation and Land and Water Use Section, assisting with maintaining weather stations and data review to support the California Irrigation Management Information System (CIMIS) program, and a number of other projects that contribute to the information contained in the California Water Plan. Field work is balanced with time spent in the office compiling, analyzing, and organizing field data. Work may also include public outreach and emergency response.
This position will be headquartered at the Southern Region Office located in Glendale with opportunities for telework.
