If so, we encourage you to apply for the Central Region Lands and Wildlife Resource Program's Environmental Scientist position. In this role, you will us help manage Central California's Ecological Reserves system and the species that depend on them.

This position is responsible for a broad range of diverse biological and Land Management tasks emphasizing special status species and rare habitats including: conducting complex investigations; multi-species and multi-habitat resource assessment, assist with directing long term conservation planning, habitat maintenance, habitat acquisition, environmental review, public outreach and education, and law and regulation changes within the Central Region.

The primary geographical area of focus of this position will be in Fresno and Tulare counties, but work can be assigned in any part of the Region and occasionally statewide. This position is the primary contact and lead representative for lands management and lands inventories in that area. The incumbent may be assigned a project lead role in complex biological studies in the geographical focus area or to assist on wider regional projects.
