The program's goal is to obtain compliance with California's waste tire laws and regulations through education and enforcement, and to provide a level playing field for regulated entities. Inspectors in CalRecycle's Tire Enforcement Section travel throughout the state to conduct field inspections at waste tire facilities, determine the significance of violations, and take appropriate enforcement actions against non-compliant sites, while working closely with local agencies and CalRecycle's Legal Office.
This position is currently telework centric, and occasionally reports to headquarters for hands on meetings. The position provides a mix of independent and team-oriented field work, research, analysis, report writing and correspondence. Please see the duty statement for additional information about this job.
