Job Description

The California Energy Commission seeks an Energy Analyst to fill one position in the Agreement Management Unit within the Fuels and Transportation Division. The Energy Analyst will manage grant funding agreements and contracts and participate in developing new grant funding solicitations, as described in more detail below. 

 

Under the direct supervision of a Program and Project Supervisor, the Energy Analyst will manage grant agreements and contracts and participate in developing grant funding solicitations. The primary set of tasks will be to ensure that grant recipients are on track to complete their projects, meeting deliverables, staying on time and within scope, and providing appropriate invoices. Energy Analysts may work on analytical studies, research, planning, and data assessment in the Fuels and Transportation Division. The Energy Analyst will gather, tabulate, and analyze data; work on a team to prepare, review, and analyze technical reports, papers, and correspondence; prepare and make public presentations; conduct site visits; and participate in developing new grant funding opportunities.  

 

Minimum Qualifications (MQs): The MQs for this classification can be found at Energy Analyst – CalHR. The documents you submit in your application package must highlight how you meet the MQs. If the MQs are not met, you will not be considered for this position.

Hybrid and Telework Employees:  Teleworking is only available for employees who reside in California. You must be relocated to California and provide your in-state address prior to your start date.
