The California Chapter is TNC’s largest state program and one of the largest, most dynamic conservation organizations in the country. WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER
The Development Coordinator works within the fundraising management system to process gifts, input donor notes, and produce reports to track key performance indicators for the California Development department. The Development Coordinator inputs revenue, files gift documentation, and creates mailing and donor lists. Additionally, the Coordinator may assist in expense preparation, scheduling, and travel arrangements, as well as other special projects related to fundraising and financial reporting. The Coordinator may have substantial contact with staff, donors, and legal and financial professionals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 year experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
- Experience providing administrative support.
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Gift processing/gift entry experience.
- Database and/or data entry experience.
- Ability to analyze information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating efforts, and solving problems.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles & practices.
- Excellent customer service skills and focus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

SALARY INFORMATION
The starting pay for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $26.60 – 30.60 per hour with a 35 hour/week schedule. This range only applies to candidates in Sacramento County, California, USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
