Under the direction of the Conservationist Supervisor, the Conservationist 1 performs the following duties:

Supervise, train, and evaluate young adults (Corpsmembers) between the ages of 18 and 25 performing conservation-related work projects. Instruct, inspire, motivate, and ensure the development of safe work habits in crews of Corpsmembers. Supervise Corpsmembers while involved in projects in remote areas and urban settings. Respond to state emergencies such as floods, fires, or other natural disasters. See the attached Duty Statement for more information.
