Job Description

Climate Advisers—a respected research and public policy group dedicated to strengthening climate action in the United States and around the world—seeks a Climate-Related Risk Intern to join Climate Advisers’ Orbitas team for the Fall 2023 term. Orbitas is a first-of-its-kind, world-leading initiative that has built awareness of the climate-related financial opportunities and risks associated with climate transitions for tropical commodity supply chains that are associated with deforestation, such as soy, beef, and palm oil. This internship provides an opportunity for a candidate with a background in finance, climate change, forestry, environmental science, economics, international relations, or other related fields to begin to explore working in a climate organization. The successful candidate will support our dynamic Orbitas finance team while gaining exposure and contributing to our cutting-edge work in global climate change research and advocacy. This fully remote, paid internship is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt, non-benefits eligible position. Candidates must be available for 15 hours per week during regular business hours, for a 3-month commitment, ideally from September - December 2023.
