Climate Data Analyst

Organization
Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA)
Job Description

EIA is seeking a Climate Data Analyst to join our Climate Campaign and support our efforts to reduce emissions of potent greenhouse gases and ozone-depleting substances, particularly fluorinated gases used in cooling.

The Climate Data Analyst will analyze environmental, emissions, industry, trade, and other datasets; conduct technical and policy research; and translate findings into useful products for EIA’s Climate investigations, advocacy, and public-facing work.

We are looking for a highly curious, resourceful, and technically adventurous candidate with strong quantitative and Excel skills, who can work with messy, complex datasets, identify meaningful patterns, take ownership of defined analytical questions, and learn unfamiliar tools and subject-matter quickly. Our ideal candidate demonstrates high-agency and eagerness to learn and is comfortable tackling unfamiliar problems, teaching themselves new approaches, experimenting with technology, and turning analysis into useful campaign work.

Early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. This role offers significant opportunity to develop technical and subject-matter expertise.
