Beginning Farmer Training Program

 am reaching out to share information on our 7 month Beginning Farmer Training Program that takes place February through September 2024. This program is geared for those invested in creating a farm business and already have some type of idea of what they want to do. During these 7 months we'll take participants on many farm visits (2-3 per month), work with them to create a business plan, and give them a space to grow crops on our educational farm with weekly field days. They'll then get to sell their harvest on our Mobile Farmers Market truck in West Sacramento. At the end of the program participants will then present their business plans to a panel and discuss next steps as we wrap up the program.There are scholarship opportunities for US Veterans.
