In the Wild: Ambar Nag with Tokai Carbon GE

Ambar compiled Tokai Carbon GE (TCGE)’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) inventory and crafted a decarbonization roadmap with GHG reduction pathways utilizing alternative energy and innovative technologies. He also helped streamline TCGE’s ESG (environmental, social, and governance) reporting by redesigning their ESG Scorecard.

More than Research: Environmental Justice in Practice

In the summer of 2025, four EPM graduate students put what they’ve learned in the classroom into practice — collaborating with community-based organizations to produce research, policy briefs, and other useful deliverables that could move the needle on some of the most persistent inequities in transportation planning. In the Wild: Sam Stromberg with San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission

Sam Stromberg is a second year MS student in Environmental Policy and Management at UC Davis. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies. His current work focuses on biodiversity policy and habitat conservation through policy analysis, data science, and GIS/remote sensing methods. Sam plans to work on high impact biodiversity issues with a mission driven organization.

My name is Becky Haworth (she/her) and I am a second year in the Environmental Policy and Management Program at UC Davis, specializing in Sustainable Food Systems. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2018 with a degree in Environmental Earth Science. After a brief stint in the wine industry and a year working in local government, I began my career in state government.

My name is Abbey Gyetvai, and I am a current student in the Graduate Program of Environmental Policy and Management. I will graduate in June 2025 with a specialization in City & Regional Planning and Environmental Justice.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in 2020 in Environmental Studies, where I focused on Geology, Policy, and Social Sciences. I also received a minor in Political Science.
